Hey gang. Can anyone tell me how to fix my dash pod lights in my 1988 Honda Prelude 4WS? I can no longer read the odometer at the bottom of the pod in the dark . Although the pod lights dimmer wheel still works the lights are dim overall, especially the lower area where the odometer is. Of course our crack Honda dealer mechanic says the lights are fine; he's wrong! Any insight would be appreciated. Also, can the pod lights be upgraded to brighter ones?
Thanks so much!

Re: Dim Dash Pod lights
What has probably happened is that one of your lights in the bottom half of the dash has burnt out, making it appear dim. There are a whole bunch of wedge bulbs that illuminate the pod, and if one burns out, the whole thing looks dimmer in some regions.
Popping the dash out to replace a few of them isn't terribly hard. I believe it can be done with nothing more than a phillips screwdriver.
