FUEL PROBLEM !!!!

i have removed the old fuel tank from my 4th gen prelude and am fitting an in car fuel tank as it is now a track car, i am using a high pressure fuel pump, and with the fuel lines removed it pumps fuel throuugh fine but when i put the fuel line back on the fuel does not even leave the pump, it just builds up pressure in the pump and i remove the fuel line it goes evrywhere ?? i have the lines on the right way and it worked fine before ,, i am meant to be racing on saturday and need an anser asap can u help me please,,, thanks very much

That's a very strange problem.

Is something interfering with the fuel pickup so that it can't extract fuel?
