Excessive valve train noise
Has anyone experienced way too much valve train chatter after adjusting valves to spec? I have '90 Prelude Si with the 2.05L engine. I followed the shop manual and adjusted the valves with the engine cold but the noise coming from the valve train once the engine is running is way too noisy. I've actually tried reducing the valve lash a couple of thousands and that seem to help a little bit but I shouldn't have to do this.

Re: Excessive valve train noise
If you've adjusted the valve clearances to spec, there shouldn't be a lot of noise coming from the valve train unless the camshaft lobes have been pounded flat for some reason and aren't moving smoothly with the rockers. Double check your measurements and make sure that your feeler guage is set correctly.
