What is the ATTS?

What is the ATTS?
I have read about the ATTS and that it is what makes the SH special. What is the benefit from this feature that makes the SH special. Do I really need the ATTS? Thanks.

ATTS facilitates torque transfer between wheels. It allows the car to get more traction during hard launches. That's a nice thing to have.
