Reseting the ECU

I was wondering if reseting the ecu on a 3g is the same as any lude generation.
Pull the clock/radio and EFI fuse under the hood for a minute or two. Put them back in. Crank the car foot off the throttle, and without touching the throttle at any time, let the engine idle for a full 4 minutes and then shut it off.
Spiff, any disagreement on that?
