Hey guys,
I have a 1991 Honda prelude si 2.1 automatic. A few days ago as I was driving I had my foot on on the gas when all of a sudden it stopped accelerating and sounded as if I was on neutral pressing on the gas. So I pulled over to the side and shut off my car. I tried starting it up again but all you could hear was a whirring noise.
So I towed my car to a friends house. And my boyfriend replaced all the belts ( power steering, Ac/alternator & timing belt) thinking that might be the problem because they were all soaked with oil from a previous leak. When it was all put together, I tried starting up the car again but it still was making the same whirring noise. The transmission side was the only side turning and not the engine side.
If anyone has an idea or any advice that would be great! And thanks in advance...

Re: Start up problems
Sorry, can you clarify what you mean when you say "the transmission side was the only side turning"
